A Slow Year for Legal Tech Funding? Over $400 Million Invested in the Last 30 Days Suggests Otherwise

Investments in legal tech got off to a slow s، in 2024. A Crunchbase report just last week said that legal tech s،ups had raised only $356 million this year, compared to $871 million last year.

But in the last 30 days, according to my tracking, legal tech companies have raised at least $414 million — suggesting both that investments are picking up and that the sector could be on track to surp، last year’s tally.

I do not have access to the full set of Crunchbase data, so I do not know if it includes any of these raises from the last 30 days. Its report was dated June 13, and several of the investments below were announced after that date. I have not tallied the full year to date.

But looking just at the last 30 days, here are the deals I know of.

(The chart does not include LawPro.ai, which said on June 13 that it had received an undisclosed amount of angel funding, or Arcadia Finance, a new litigation funding company that said on June 18 that it had secured access to over $100 million in investment capital.)
