The Department of Justice announced on Tuesday that a Missouri man has been sentenced to 240 months in prison for possession with intent to sell fentanyl, ،, ،e, and ،amphetamine. The man, 33-year-old Saul Douglas Briggs, will serve an additional 60-month sentence for possession of firearms in correlation with his drug trafficking.
According to U.S. Attorney Totten, the amount of drugs possessed by Briggs was “enormous.” Totten cited concerns about what such an extreme amount of drugs could do to a community. It is suspected that Briggs and his ،ociates have been using a ،use in Muskegon, MI since at least 2002 as a base-of-operation for drug trafficking. Upon release, Briggs will face a supervision period of up to 10 years.
